Master tiler in the Eure, Paris and Île-de-France

Based in Évreux, we carry out tiling work throughout the Eure, in Paris and across the Île-de-France departments. Wherever the job is, the method stays the same: a checked substrate, a planned layout and a careful finish.

Évreux and Paris are about a hundred kilometres apart, along the A13 or the N13. Between the two, we work in Normandy longhouses as well as Haussmann apartments and suburban houses: every type of building has its constraints, and it is the substrate preparation that makes a tiled floor last.

Évreux and the Eure

We are based in Évreux and work throughout the town and the wider department, from Vernon to Bernay and from Louviers to Verneuil d’Avre et d’Iton. The housing is very varied: longhouses and half-timbered houses, brick or stone village houses, detached houses and new builds.

In an old house, preparation makes the difference: floors levelled with a screed or levelling compound, uneven walls straightened before the wall tiles go up. In a new build, we often lay large-format tiles over underfloor heating and terraces that extend the living room.

Paris

In Paris, tiles are usually laid in apartments, which calls for careful organisation: access by the stairs or a small lift, protection of the shared areas, removal of rubble and the working hours set by the building’s rules. Those rules sometimes require an acoustic underlay beneath the tiles: we include it from the quote stage.

Older buildings often stand on timber floors. Before tiling them, we check how rigid they are and choose the right preparation, such as a fibre-reinforced levelling compound or an uncoupling membrane. In a small bathroom, a walk-in shower also means checking the height available for the drain.

Yvelines and Hauts-de-Seine

On the road between Évreux and Paris, the Yvelines and the Hauts-de-Seine are natural areas for us: from Mantes-la-Jolie and Poissy to Saint-Germain-en-Laye and Versailles, and on to the towns next to Paris such as Boulogne-Billancourt, Issy-les-Moulineaux, Nanterre and Rueil-Malmaison.

Apartments and houses with gardens sit side by side here: bathroom renovations, living room floors, outdoor tiling for a terrace or a flight of steps, parquet flooring in the bedrooms. For an entrance hall or a living room, marble and natural stone remain popular choices too.

Essonne and Val-de-Marne

South and east of Paris, we work in the Essonne and the Val-de-Marne, from Évry-Courcouronnes, Massy and Palaiseau to Créteil, Vincennes and Saint-Maur-des-Fossés.

Detached houses, millstone houses and recent developments: every substrate has its constraints. Old tiles can sometimes stay in place under the new ones, provided they are sound and firmly bonded. In a new house with underfloor heating, floor tiling waits until the screed has dried and the heating has been started up according to the planned procedure.

Val-d’Oise, Seine-Saint-Denis and Seine-et-Marne

To the north and east, we also travel to the Val-d’Oise, the Seine-Saint-Denis and the Seine-et-Marne: Cergy, Pontoise, Argenteuil, Saint-Denis, Montreuil, Meaux, Melun and Chelles.

Projects here are as varied as anywhere else: an apartment to refurbish, a bathroom to modernise, a large-format floor for a new house or a kitchen splashback in wall tiles. Whatever the job, we start with the substrate: it is what decides how long the tiles will last.

A well-organised job, wherever it is

Whether your project is close to Évreux or on the far side of Île-de-France, it follows the same steps.

  1. Your project in a few lines

By phone or through the form: the room, the area, the tiles you have chosen or still need to choose, the condition of the floor and walls, with photos if possible.

  2. The visit and measurements

We come to see the substrate, measure the room and check the sensitive points: flatness, moisture, drains, threshold heights and access to the site.

  3. A detailed quote

Preparation, any supplies, laying, grouting and finishing: each item is listed so that you can compare. To save time, see what information to prepare.

  4. A job followed through to the finish

We follow the job from the substrate to the grout and tell you when the room can be used. You can see a few of our jobs in our projects.

Frequently asked questions

Your questions about our service areas

Do you work in my town?

We work throughout the Eure, in Paris and in the seven other Île-de-France departments. If your town is not in the lists on this page, simply give your postcode in your quote request: we will quickly confirm whether we can take on your project.

Do you work in apartments on upper floors?

Yes. We protect the shared areas, organise the removal of rubble and keep to the building’s working hours. For large-format tiles, we check access in advance: the size of the lift and the width of the stairs and landings, because some slabs cannot get through everywhere.

Can tiles be laid on a timber floor in an old building?

Often, yes, provided the floor is rigid and sound. We check how much it flexes and the condition of the boards, strengthen it if needed, then lay a suitable preparation, such as a fibre-reinforced levelling compound or an uncoupling membrane, before tiling. Large formats, heavier and less forgiving, need particular care.
